Dr. Furman

Dr. Rick Furman

Dr. Rick Furman joined the team at Lower Columbia Oral Health at the beginning of 2017 and has played a key role in providing the highest quality dental care available in southwest Washington. Dr. Furman and his wife moved to the area because they fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, but the compassionate attitude of Dr. Haghighi and the rest of the team is what brought him to Lower Columbia Oral Health. Dr. Furman looks forward to building on the caring and approachable atmosphere of the office that has already been well established. Additionally, Dr. Furman is excited about utilizing the best technology and techniques to deliver optimum results for his patients.

Dr. Furman completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University, where he played linebacker on the football team. Dr. Furman continued his studies at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine where he finished near the top of his class in clinical performance.

Dr. Furman has received extensive training in a wide array of specialty topics including a post-graduate IV conscious sedation training at Augusta University in Georgia. With Dr. Furman’s background and extensive training, the office is now able to offer in house sedation for patients with dental phobias or patients undergoing surgical procedures. In addition to sedation training, Dr. Furman has also received hundreds of hours of training in surgically placing and restoring implants- he is currently pursing recognition to become an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Furthermore, Dr. Furman has extensive experience restoring smiles using metal free veneers and bonding in conjunction with Invisalign. He has completed courses in full mouth rehabilitation and uses those skills to successfully treat worn, crooked, discolored, and broken teeth.
